My Journey!
“If words are the most irresponsible messengers of our thoughts, then how do we make them responsible?” It was the first question I had encountered at my early young age, while studying Human Behaviour Analysis, at ORG-Sarabhai. “By choosing good words”, was my answer which was overruled by the company’s M.D. “No! Rather choosing thoughtful words”. Unknowingly that small conversation had sown the seeds of my career as a Writer and an Orator. Unconsciously, it led to intensifying my passion for writing. As a hobby, my pen started trying different yet creative formats of write-ups. From songwriting to scriptwriting, I had already started enjoying, playing with thoughtful words.
When you don’t know your destiny!
One day, destiny suddenly turned my table by 180 degrees. My father’s sudden death brought an unexpected phase in my life. Arranging finance for my family was the only priority. Balancing roles at home and work, responsibilities were constantly increasing. I had to fight at all the fronts in parallel; perusing a degree course in Pathology, certification of Human Behavior Analysis at Sarabhai, and doing a part-time job at ORG to manage the family finance. My pen had to be put at rest. But I always believed; “Struggles are the disguise of Success”. Though my journey was not so easy, my passion and ‘take it as it comes’ attitude was enough to keep me happy amongst all the odds. It is rightly said, “Where there is a will, there is a way”. Hence when I got an opportunity to convert my writing passion into a profession, after I got married; my joy had no bounds. Though I was busy with various academic courses and handling sub-broking at BSE & NSE alongside my family responsibilities, my pen started to constantly flare on different creations. These creations getting acknowledged in Writer’s community, primarily helped me gain a sense of pride, confidence, and hope to see the bad times turn to good times.
When the surroundings and circumstances override you!
On one hand, I was witnessing my homemaker friends facing a big dilemma; whether to give up their ambitions or to cross the boundaries? What to choose; Kitchen or Career, Bedrooms or Boardrooms, Rise and Rebel or Rest and Be Satisfied? Unmasking was difficult as their happiness was their biggest lie. On the other hand, my professional colleagues were feeling lost with the outgrowing fierce competitions. They were feeling suffocated in the Rat-Race. Our coffee hangouts were full of these bitter stories. Overall I could decipher, Breaking the glass ceiling was never so easy and is never going to be easy!
The second twist in my life !
Unknowingly those engaging coffee conversations came knocking with opportunities. My ability in Human Behavior analysis came to my homemaker friend’s and professional colleague’s rescue. My simple yet cordial consultation sessions and guidance with them turned me into a full-time Professional as a Motivational Speaker, Life and Leadership coach. My experiences in handling and coaching those conversations drove me to craft various soft skills/life skills modules and leadership programs. Today, may it be in writing or speaking; motivating others to lead a happy life has always been my area of interest. For me, one’s Smile supersedes one’s Success. Always remember, Smile works like a Magic. One should exercise it every morning and through the day. Start your day by giving a smile to your own self. Look into the mirror, throw a big smile, and say; “I am unique, I am the best”.
